Executive Board Meeting         
August 4, 2015, 3pm @Starbucks

Kelly O’Connor spoke about the opportunity to join the St. Walter’s Soccer League 
Openings for 5 teams (K, 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, 5th/6th, 7th/8th)
Registration is $450 per team 
18 per team ideal numbers (Co-Ed, 3 girls must be on field at all times or handicap team by one player)
$60/player would cover registration, t-shirt/jersey w/number, socks (players would provide shorts, shin guards, cleats)
K-4 plays M & W (maybe Sat)
5-8 plays T, Th, & Sat
Volunteers needed per team: Coach, Asst. Coach, Team Parent, Team Booster
Kelly sent email for clarification to St. Walter’s for registration deadline and spots available

Flag Football:
Mr. Henderson will be starting Flag Football (Co-Ed) for 5th – 8th grades through the CPS league in September
Cost will be $60/player 
Uniforms (tbd)

Cross Country:
Mr. Henderson is waiting for the packet from CYO (catholic youth organization) for details on Cross Country (and Track & Field)
Sutherland will need to join CYO
Eric can also sign up our Sutherland team for individual CPS CC meets
Cross- Country can be any grade level, races are usually 1 ½ miles, parent discretion needed for kindergarten/1st graders
With so many new sports available at the beginning of this year, we need to gauge parent/student interest to be sure we can fill our teams in paid organizations.
Kristen will contact Laurie Cleary to send out a Facebook inquiry
Tracy will contact pta about email blast of same info 
Eric is the contact person for all fall sports inquiries/interest/registrations

Registration for all sports is 1st come 1st served w/payment. Spot is not guaranteed until payment is received.
Online registration and collection of fees would be ideal.
Need our 501c3 tax id in order to sign up for PayPal account
Need info on sign up genius, google calendar, and google drive for website.
Christine will check with Suzanne Smith about web design, similar to south cook jaguars, specifically for registration and collection of fees.

Girls Basketball uniforms:
Want to streamline uniforms for all of girls’ basketball. Laurie Cleary sent pictures/information about uniforms ordered last year. These are the uniforms we will order for 5th – 7th grades.  8th Grade uniforms may have already been purchased, Eric will confirm with coach.
Eric is collecting names, sizes, and player numbers from coaches
Tracy will order uniforms from Windy City. 
Cost $60/player

Back to School Bash:
Thursday, September 3rd, 5-7:30pm
Tracy and Christine will take shifts at the Athletic Association table. Others are welcome, too.
Lisa Nuzzo is creating a poster for our table.
(Thoughts for next year: dad’s grill food as fundraiser)

Coaches Meeting:
Monday, August 31st, 6pm @ Sutherland
Finalize gym time slots (Eric will send out time slot selections to coaches ahead of time)

TA Henderson was voted in as our Athletic Director (school liaison)

Next meeting: Thursday, August 27th, 11am @ Sutherland to finalize coaches meeting and back to school bash details

Update (8/7):
St. Walter’s Soccer League deadline 8/7, $100 deposit required per team, only deposit is lost if team is not filled, Eric sent email to sign up all 5 Sutherland teams, awaiting confirmation

Ms. Williams (Sutherland tech coordinator) will be able to help us build our Sutherland Athletics web page and figure out what we can/cannot add such as PayPal.
